ABIX Summary
An Australian bank has given a credit card to a cat, with no security and identity checks. Katherine Campbell, of Melbourne, wanted to test what steps a bank would take to check identity. She applied to the Bank of Queensland for a Visa credit card for her cat, Messiah Campbell. Quite promptly, the bank sent a credit card with a $A4,200 limit to Messiah. Campbell filled out all the forms, telling the truth about Messiah's age and address. A spokesperson for the bank has apologised for the error.
