Superannuation funds are very highly trusted by Australian investors, according to a survey conducted by TNS. The survey, undertaken in October 2006 for the Investment & Financial Services Association and involving 1,000 investors, also found that the average investor thinks about his or her money for three hours a week, and that 94 per cent of investors who have dealings with a financial adviser are satisfied with their experience. Of those who use a financial planner, more than half pay their planner from their investment, while around a third pay a fee directly to the planner.
