ABIX Summary
Just under sixty per cent of Australians would like to retire early, according to a survey conducted by Talent2 in June 2007. However, almost one-third of those who stated their desire to retire early indicated they had not made any extra contribution to their superannuation on top of what they were getting under the superannuation contribution scheme. Of those who stated that they were putting a bit extra away for their retirement, 62.1 per cent of males were doing so, compared with only 48.4 per cent of females.
