Multiple loans or the one-lender option

ABIX Summary
Australian property investors have a choice of lenders and products. Property investment expert, Michael Yardney, advises the use of a mortgage broker. Deposit and interest payments can be borrowed on a home loan, while 80 per cent of the cost is financed by low or no-documentation loans. Having all debt with one lender can simplify tax requirements. However, products are now available that allow multiple properties in one loan. Some experts advise diversifying lenders. Investors should not secure loans against the whole property portfolio.
