ABIX Summary
In D06-07\043, the Superannuation Complaints Tribunal dealt with a complaint about a miscalculation of benefits. The complainant calculated her retirement benefits from member statements. Upon voluntary retrenchment, she fund that the benefits to which she was entitled were less than the sums she had calculated. The tribunal found for the trustee and stated that the member should have asked for a benefit quote when preparing to retire.
