ABIX Summary
A survey by Wizard Home Loans identified an increase in the financial confidence of aspiring first home buyers. The survey found that in the September 2006 quarter, there was a 20 per cent rise in the number of people planning to buy their first home. A home finance survey by the Mortgage Industry Association of Australia and BankWest revealed that although 81 per cent of Australians anticipate another interest rate rise, 25 per cent intend to purchase a home in the next year.
