Around 10 per cent of Australian superannuation fund members have taken advantage of the choice of fund regime, according to Investmentlink. Choice of fund was introduced in mid-2005, and Investmentlink data show that Australian Super has been selected by 14.3 per cent of super fund members when choosing a fund. Meanwhile, some 5.9 per cent of consumers chose to switch to REST Super, Australia's largest fund in terms of members. SuperRatings' figures show that Australian Super was one of the top-five funds in terms of returns for the year to 31 July 2007, with a return of 18.3 per cent.
