ABIX Summary
A March 2007 Sensis "Consumer Report" has found that baby boomers' confidence in their financial prospects has risen. Australians over 64 have the highest level of confidence at 68%, with 50-to-64 year-olds similarly increasing their confidence from 38% to 61%. However, under-50s have recorded a drop in confidence, perhaps due to the housing affordability crisis. Overall consumer confidence rose 3% to 55%. Primary concerns were the drought, environment, health and the Iraq war.
