Super Review --- Page: 24-25/27 : March 2008
Original article by Damon Taylor

LexisNexis Summary
There is great financial volatility across the globe in March 2008. The bull market in Australia appears to have come to an end, because of the global credit crunch and the US sub-prime mortgage meltdown. The managers of several Australian superannuation funds have admitted that the environment is far tougher and many super funds will offer lower returns in calendar 2008. However, they note that super is a long-term asset and canny super fund managers will be looking for bargains - good quality stocks at lower prices. These experts also note that the Australian economy is more closely linked to China and India than that of the US. This means that Australia's resources sector will stay strong, boosting many Australian stocks.
