Original article by Elizabeth Kazi

ABIX Summary
Superannuation funds are required to report on tax file numbers (TFNs) via member contribution statements. The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) is also providing employers with a "Better Super" fact sheet in June 2007, as disclosed by the Revenue Minister Peter Dutton in the week ending 1 June 2007. In May 2007 the ATO contacted about 1.85 million people regarding super funds or retirement saving accounts without TFNs.
