ABIX Summary
All signs are for 2007 to be another strong year on stock markets around the world. Interest rates and inflation remain relatively low, energy costs are falling and economic growth continues. Economists suggest that interest rates in the US and Australia may remain unchanged all year. Citigroup has raised its estimate for economic growth in industrial nations (2.7 per cent) and emerging nations (6.3 per cent) and lowered its forecast for inflation, compared with the views it held in late 2006.
