The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has issued a list of responses to questions about superannuation. The "Simpler super - Industry stakeholder Q and A" list addresses queries put forward by the Simple Super Stakeholder Working Groups. The ATO reports that the list will be updated each week and estimated response times will be provided for queries not yet answered. The list covers issues including the taxation of death benefits, the no-Tax File Number contributions tax; and the restriction on splitting non-concessional contributions between married people.
