The Australian Government's 2007-08 Budget introduces tax cuts, effective from 1 July 2007. Resident's tax rates will be as follows: 0 - $A6,000: nil; $A6,001 - $A30,000: nil plus 15 per cent of excess over $A6,000; $A30,001 - $A75,600: $A3,600 plus 30 per cent of excess over $A30,000; $A75,001 - $A150,000: $A17,100 plus 40 per cent of excess over $A75,000; and over $A150,000: $A47,100 plus 45 per cent of excess over $A150,000.
