The Australian Securities & Investment Commission (ASIC) has launched a new superannuation calculator on its FIDO web site. Greg Tanzer, executive director of consumer protection at ASIC, says that the new calculator takes into account the new rules governing superannuation contributions that come into effect on 1 July 2007, as well as allowing users to test the possible impact on their super of changes such as increasing their personal contributions or switching investment strategies.
