ABIX Summary
The Minister for Revenue and Assistant Treasurer, Peter Dutton, has urged Australians to save more for retirement. He advised people to make a “super resolution” in 2007. He reminded people that, under the co-contribution scheme, the Australian Government contributes $A1.50 for every $A1 of after-tax superannuation contributions made by employees earning up to $A28,000, up to a maximum co-contribution of $A1,500 per year.
